Yomiuriland

よみうりランド

Inagi · near Keio-Yomiuri-Land Station (then Sky Shuttle gondola) / Yomiuriland-mae (Odakyu)

A large hillside amusement park on the Tokyo–Kanagawa border with roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, a Good Job Attractions 'make-your-own' zone, a summer pool (Pool WAI), and gentle rides for young children. In winter it becomes one of Tokyo's most famous illumination venues, Jewellumination.

Why children love it: Huge variety of rides for all ages, hands-on factory-style attractions, gondola arrival ride, and dazzling jewel-toned winter lights.

Honest drawbacks: On the far western edge of Tokyo (~40+ min from central Tokyo); big and hilly; thrill rides have height limits; day-pass pricing.
