The Gundam Base Tokyo & Life-Sized Unicorn Gundam Statue

ガンダムベース東京 / 実物大ユニコーンガンダム立像

Odaiba · near Daiba Station (Yurikamome) 5 min / Tokyo Teleport Station (Rinkai line) 3 min

The world's flagship Gunpla (Gundam plastic-model) store on the 7th floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, plus the 19.7m life-sized Unicorn Gundam statue on the 2nd-floor outdoor plaza that runs daily transformation light-and-sound shows. Viewing the statue and shows is free.

Why children love it: A towering real-life robot that transforms with lights and music several times a day, and a giant shop full of buildable Gundam kits — thrilling for any robot- or model-loving child.

Honest drawbacks: IMPORTANT: the Unicorn Gundam statue's public display is scheduled to end on 31 August 2026, after which it may be removed — verify before relying on it. The Gundam Base shop is expected to continue. The statue/plaza is outdoors (rain affects viewing); the shop is indoors.
