Marunouchi & Tokyo Midtown Winter Illuminations

冬のイルミネーション(丸の内・東京ミッドタウン)

Marunouchi · near Tokyo Station (Marunouchi) / Roppongi Station (Midtown)

Tokyo's flagship winter light displays. Marunouchi Illumination drapes ~340 trees along the elegant tree-lined avenues near Tokyo Station in champagne-gold LEDs. Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi runs a Christmas garden illumination plus a 'Walkway of Light' and a seasonal outdoor ice rink. Both are free to stroll and very family-friendly.

Why children love it: Millions of twinkling lights, a giant Christmas tree, and (at Midtown) skating and glowing garden walks — magical on a winter evening.

Honest drawbacks: Cold winter evenings; popular sections get crowded around Christmas; the Midtown ice rink charges a separate fee.
