A chiyogami specialist founded in 1864 in the historic Yanaka district, hand-printing Edo woodblock patterned paper. A lovely low-cost cultural stop while strolling the Yanesen backstreets; occasional hands-on workshops (e.g. calendar-making) run periodically.
Why children love it: Walls of vividly patterned traditional papers and old-fashioned paper toys and 'omocha-e' picture sheets in an atmospheric old-Tokyo neighbourhood.
